The Bengali New Year's Bar Puja was celebrated at the East Bengal Club in a grand ceremony according to the traditional norms. At the beginning of the day, the club flag was hoisted by the Honorable Sports Minister Arup Biswas along with former players of the club. Bar puja starts from 10 am in the club ground.
