1st August 2022, East Bengal Club’s 103rd foundation day celebration

Today, on 1st August 2022, East Bengal Club’s 103rd foundation day honoring ceremony was held at Khudiram practice center from 5 pm. Amaresh Chowdhury, grandson of one of the main founders of the club, Raja Suresh Chowdhury, was present at the ceremony. Advocate Ajay Krishna Chatterjee, senior vice president of the club decorated the chair of the event as the president of the club Dr. Pranab Dasgupta was abroad. Aditya Agarwal and Manish Goenka from Emami Group were present as special guests at the event, along with former Olympian Ves Page. Club Secretary Kalyan Mazumdar was present on the stage. Mayor of Calcutta Corporation Mr. Firhad Hakim, Fire Minister Mr. Sujit Basu I was the Sports Secretary Mr. Subrata Biswas I were many eminent ex-players I Dr. Pallab Basu Mallick was the eminent physician and sports journalist. was Emami East Bengal Club coach Binu George I came Mohun Bagan and Mahamedan Club official Rao I

Saikat Mitra performed the opening song at the beginning of the program.

Two lakh rupees were handed over to Dr. Abhijit Chowdhury’s ‘Liver Foundation’ for the treatment of people on this great occasion.

Eminent photojournalist Mr. Subir Majumdar was honored with the Pushpen Sarkar Memorial Photojournalist Award.
Eminent journalist Shri Lokendra Pratap Shahi was honored with the Ajay Bose Memorial Journalist Award.

Dr. Ramesh Chandra (NASA) Sen Memorial ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ was conferred on former club captain Shri Gautam Sarkar.

Byomkesh Bose Memorial ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ was conferred on former club captain Shri Swapan Sengupta.

Renowned tennis player Leander Page has been honored with ‘Bharat Gaurab’.

Former Indian cricket captain Jhulan Goswami has been honored with the ‘Bharat Gaurav’ award.
