Today 17th February 2023, Friday, East Bengal Club commemorated two former footballers Parimal Dey and Shyamal Ghosh. Along with them, Tulsidas Balaram, the late club’s former captain, was also remembered yesterday. Hon’ble Sports Minister Shri Arup Biswas was present at the East Bengal club tent to pay tribute to the late red and yellow footballers. There were former footballers Sukumar Samajpati, Shyam Thapa, Samaresh Chowdhury, Manoranjan Bhattacharya, Bhaskar Ganguly, Manas Bhattacharya, Videsh Basu Amit Bhadra, Tarun Dey, Ranjit Mukherjee as well as many former footballers. IFA president Ajit Banerjee and secretary Anirban Dutta were present to pay tribute to the two deceased footballers. Mohammedan Karta Belal Ahmed was present. East Bengal Club president, vice president, secretary and all members of the club’s working committee paid their respects. Many unknown stories of the late footballer came up in everyone’s memory.

Also, the East Bengal club authorities have decided to hold the memorial service of the recently deceased legendary player Tulsidas Balaram in the club tent.
