East Bengal Club Reinforces Social Responsibility Through Blood Donor Cards Handover

Since its inception, East Bengal Club has upheld social service as one of its core principles, alongside its rich sporting legacy. Staying true to this long-standing tradition and sense of social responsibility, the club took another meaningful step on Thursday, 29 January 2016, at its Media Centre, in the presence of social workers from the Serum Thalassemia Prevention Federation.
On this occasion, blood donor cards were formally handed over on behalf of East Bengal Club. It is noteworthy that these donor cards were collected during the blood donation camp organised by East Bengal Club on 13 August. Through this initiative, an important stride has been made towards ensuring a regular and safe supply of blood for thalassemia patients, who depend on timely blood transfusions for survival.
This joint effort with the Serum Thalassemia Prevention Federation once again highlights the deep-rooted commitment of East Bengal Club, along with the Paltu Das Memorial Social Welfare Association, towards community welfare and humanitarian service. Such initiatives not only reflect social responsibility but also reinforce the club’s enduring bond with society beyond the football field.
