His later miss cost East Bengal dearly, as Bengaluru FC’s Javier Hernandez scored with a bicycle kick in the 72nd minute, securing the win for Bengaluru FC.
This match marked Bengaluru FC’s first victory in the league, earning them three points in three games. On the other hand, East Bengal found themselves in eighth place with four points after three matches. The top spot in the league is currently held by Mohun Bagan.
