The 2025–26 Super Cup final turned into a tense, hard-fought contest as FC Goa edged past East Bengal FC 6–5 in a dramatic penalty shootout after the match ended goalless in regulation and extra time.

Both sides began with measured intent, prioritising control in midfield and maintaining defensive solidity. East Bengal created a few promising movements through Saul Crespo and Anwar Ali, while FC Goa relied on the creativity of Nemil and the forward runs of Udanta Singh. Despite the exchanges, neither team could find the breakthrough, thanks to disciplined defending and assured goalkeeping at both ends.

The second half followed a similar pattern. FC Goa pushed forward with increased urgency, but East Bengal’s backline, marshalled by Kevin Sibille, remained resolute. Regulation time failed to separate the two sides, sending the final into extra time.
