CFL 2026 | East Bengal Held to 1–1 Draw by Bhawanipore 🔴🟡

East Bengal FC and Bhawanipore FC played out a hard-fought 1–1 draw in their CFL Group A encounter at the East Bengal Ground on August 14.

The first half remained goalless, with both sides cancelling each other out. Syamal Bhesra put Bhawanipore ahead just after the restart in the 46th minute, but East Bengal responded quickly as Ananthu N.S. equalised in the 52nd minute with a powerful strike.

Both teams pushed for the winner in the closing stages, but neither could find the decisive goal.

The draw keeps East Bengal unbeaten, while Bhawanipore continue their strong campaign near the top of the table.
