The star of the evening was undoubtedly Fazila Ikwaput, who scored twice in the first half to put the Red and Gold brigade in a commanding position.

60th minute – 2-1: Ho Chi Minh City pulled one goal back through Đậu Nguyễn Quỳnh Anh, setting up a tense finish.
East Bengal displayed impressive attacking intent and defensive discipline throughout the contest. The defensive partnership of Adama and Opoku played a crucial role in keeping the opposition’s attacking threats under control.
In midfield, the Japanese combination of Hitomi and Shiraki impressed with their coordination and ball distribution, while Olivia created several promising opportunities with her deliveries from the wing.
The introduction of Rimpa Haldar in the second half added further energy and attacking impetus. East Bengal continued to create opportunities and could have increased their goal tally with better finishing.
The 2-1 victory against a strong Vietnamese opponent is a significant confidence booster for East Bengal. Fazila’s match-winning brace and the team’s collective performance have given the Red and Gold brigade an excellent start to their continental campaign.
With three valuable points secured, East Bengal will now turn their attention to their next Group B challenge against South Korea’s Hwacheon KSPO on November 4.
Congratulations to the Moshal Girls! A memorable night for Indian women’s football!
