East Bengal secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Indian Army in the quarterfinal to book a place in the semifinals of the 135th IndianOil Durand Cup.

🔹 P. V. Vishnu proved to be the difference-maker, rising above the Army defence to head home a superb cross from Christopher Ikonomidis in the 39th minute.

🔹 The Red & Gold dominated possession and controlled the tempo, particularly in the first half, but struggled to convert several attacking opportunities.

🔹 Despite the missed chances, East Bengal’s defensive organisation and composure ensured that the slender lead was protected until the final whistle.
