East Bengal Thrash Inter Kashi 5–1 to Continue ISL Title Defence in Style

Kolkata, 23 October 2026: East Bengal FC continued their impressive start to the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026–27 season with a commanding 5–1 victory over Inter Kashi, delivering another emphatic performance in their title defence.

Dani Ramirez, P.V. Vishnu, Ake Loba and Lukasz Zwolinski were among the goalscorers, with Loba netting twice in a dominant attacking display by the Red and Gold Brigade.

Ramirez opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a clever lob over goalkeeper Albino Gomes after combining with Rashid and Loba. Eight minutes later, Vishnu doubled East Bengal’s lead, finishing a swift counterattack created by Loba.

Loba made it 3–0 from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, putting East Bengal firmly in control. Inter Kashi pulled one back in the 28th minute when Lalchungnunga inadvertently turned Laldinliana’s cross into his own net.

However, East Bengal responded quickly. In the 35th minute, Loba headed home Bipin Singh’s cross to restore the three-goal cushion and complete his brace.

After a relatively quiet second half, East Bengal added their fifth goal in the 81st minute. Ikonimidis drove forward down the right flank and crossed for Zwolinski, who finished comfortably to seal an emphatic victory.

The 5–1 triumph underlined East Bengal’s attacking strength, clinical finishing and ability to punish opponents on the counterattack as they continued their ISL title defence in style.
