East Bengal FC Storm to Durand Cup Glory with 4–1 Win Over Mohun Bagan SG

East Bengal FC produced a sensational first-half performance to defeat arch-rivals Mohun Bagan Super Giant 4–1 and lift the Durand Cup in emphatic fashion.

The Red and Gold side made a flying start, with Bipin Singh opening the scoring to put East Bengal ahead. The advantage was soon doubled by Edmund Lalrindika, who then went on to produce a stunning individual display.

Edmund completed a superb hat-trick, scoring three goals in a remarkable first-half spell and putting East Bengal firmly in control.

Mohun Bagan managed to pull one goal back through Manvir Singh, but it was not enough to change the course of the final.

Remarkably, all five goals came in the first half, making it a breathtaking and action-packed opening 45 minutes. East Bengal controlled the game thereafter to secure a memorable 4–1 victory.

With Edmund’s hat-trick leading the way, East Bengal celebrated a spectacular triumph over their fiercest rivals and lifted the prestigious Durand Cup.
